Emerge qlist x11 drivers

Xorg server – xorg server and the drivers, most major releases come with new xorg drivers. emerge -vu xorg-server $(qlist -IC|grep xdrivers/) Kernel update – always update the new kernel headers (sys-kernel/linux-headers) and rebuild glibc if there is a new one. Just to be safe, run emerge $(qlist -C -I xdrivers/) -1av to rebuild your X drivers (portage may have updated things in the wrong order, better safe than sorry) Once all this is done, you should have a brand new Xorg on your machine. emerge -av1 `qlist -I -C xdrivers/` or (in case of qlist makes a segment failure) emerge -vuDN --with-bdeps=y xorg-drivers The configuration files The key to have a running X server was the /etc/X11/www.doorway.ru configuration file, now the xserver can even run without it since it can get most device information from the system.
